Heroes’ Square (Hősök Tere) is a major tourist attraction in Budapest. The square features important national leaders and is also home to some of the city’s most popular museums. K wanted to go ice skating, but the rink was so crowded that we weren’t even interested to check out the prices.
We walked to Vajdahunyad Castle and saw several cool looking buildings there. There was an agricultural museum on site, but I wasn’t too keen to find out about farming and cattle.
We popped by the Science, Technology and Transport Museum (Közlekedési Múzeum) … which was really boring compared to the other science and technology museums we’ve visited in Europe recently. So we stayed there for less than an hour before heading to the Museum of Fine Arts (Szépművészeti Múzeum) which I found interesting but the boys did not. The three of them plopped onto benches to play their tablets while waiting for me to browse some of the collection.
